I moved to mirrorless by getting a screaming good deal on a bundled XT20 and the XC16-50 and XC50-230. I expected a decent camera and blah boring lenses that were inferior. What I got was a return to fun shooting. Don't discount the value of super lightweight lenses for travel or meandering around and the image quality is very good (I suppose if compared at 100% and side by side or blown up very big would show a slight advantage to XF lenses). But for me, wandering around somewhere or going on long hikes means I can always have a good range of 16-230 with me without much effort.

When I upgrade the camera I'll likely get an XF alternative for the 16-50 and I really want the 100-400 but I'll never get rid of the XCs.
