Any way to set the x100v to display the iso chosen by auto iso before one takes a shot?

Hi Dana

Confirm and don't understand this, too.

I have a thread on this.

Best,

It seems to be a peculiarity of Fujifilm cameras.  There are other camera brands which dynamically display all three exposure parameters but the whole design philosophy of Fujifilm is not toward using the camera in straight "P" mode (not that they can't, obviously).  Some other makers have dynamic highlight protection where the image is intentionally underexposed and then boosted other than the highlights but they don't go as far as Fuji in this area.  AFAIK, only Fuji cameras can do this automatically up to two stop (DR400) where others, I think, will only go one stop.  That extra complication may make dynamic display of all three exposure parameters trickier.
