focusing strategies?
2

So...

I'm at the riverside trying to shoot a child learning to swim.  There's a fair bit of movement and plenty of light (albeit contrasty).

I'm shooting with the X-Pro3 and the 16-80 lens at about 80mm and F4.  There's a lot of shimmering on the water due to the splashing.

I'm curious how folks on the Forum would set their AF to ensure the greatest number of in-focus shots.  What focus techniques/strategies would you use?  I got a couple of nice ones but plenty that were slightly out of focus.

Specifically, would you use AFS or AFC?  Would you use zone or single point?  How large/small would you make the autofocus box/zone?  If you'd shoot AFC, which mode would you use?

I got too many like this where the focus is behind my subject, the child.
