Guessing focal length from image

I am curious to know if it’s possible to look at an image and work out what focal length was used in composing it/ capturing it? I know that for something like a fish-eye or Macro image, one can look at an image and be reasonably accurate at guessing the type of lens that would give that image.
But how about a classification as broad as Ultra-wide, wide angle, normal, short tele and super tele would be good buckets to classify a view. Or would there be too many variables?
Thanks!
