Just picked up the RP, will the EF 24-105 be all right or should I pay nearly triple for the RF?

Hi everyone. I just picked up the RP (still on way from Canon) to replace my 80D since I wanted an "in" into the FF world. Anyways, I am on a budget, but I can get the 24-105 EF L lens (first version since I don't do any videography) for around 400€. I could also get the RF version for 1,100€. That's considerably more. I know from reviews that the RF version is faster and sharper by a bit, but since it's already a big step up from what I currently have... should I stick with the adapter + 24-105 EF version and save 700€ for more glass down the line, or should I just save up now and get the RF version? Is the EF + adapter going to be so darn awkward on the RP?

Thanks.

If you can find a place to get the RF version used, I would try that.  There are lots of great hardly used copies of it out there because it’s a kit lens.  I have found it to be a lot better than the EF lens.  It’s sharper, focusing and IS are both quieter, and it has the control ring as well and has way less zoom creep.
