Great Discovery with The Sigma 17-50 f2.8 Lens Eye Autofucus Works!
I just discovered something while playing around with he Sigma 17-50 f 2.8 lens. I had written about this lens a few times and reported that the Canon mount version on our Sony's did not have eye autofocus when used with the mc-11 adapter.
Although, I rarely use eye autofocus I noticed today that on my a6000 it worked, It never worked on my a6500. I tried again on the a6500 just to make sure and again it didn't work. But, I then went into the menu and changed from phase detection to contrast detection and voila. It works!
This is a really nice lens! It's big and heavy, but very sharp from 17 through 50.
