Re: Most lightweight model for clean HDMI w/o overheating problem?

The GX8 is a great camera, and my GX7 doesn't get used very often anymore.  The GX8 will shoot 4K without any 10 or 30-minute time limit, and I've never noticed it overheating.  I think the video quality is pretty good, but I'm no video expert.

A Panasonic body will provide DFD AF with your Pana lenses.  I did experience some shutter shock with the GX8 and one lens, the 14-140 f/3.5-5.6, but just use e-shutter if you are in that 1/30 to 1/250 range (that might be overstated a bit), and a firmware update for the GX8 allows you to choose an "auto" setting for shutter type, so the camera switches to e-shutter automatically if the lens you are using and your shutter speed might result in SS.

The EVF on the GX8 is terrific, much better than on the GX7, and the 20MP sensor is also an improvement.  It has 4-axis IBIS, not quite up to the later 5-axis system on newer Pana models, but it does do Dual IS (v.1, not 2).
