Like so many others, the pandemic has become an unexpected impetus for an upgrade from my current GX7.

I'm looking for a new body that's lightweight - hopefully a rangefinder style, not a DSLR style - but at the same time will not present an sensor overheating issue that I've read will arise with some models.

What do people recommend?

My of my glasses are from Panasonic, which means I'll be better off buying another Panasonic for IS. But it's not a deal-breaker, and an Olympus with the qualities I look for - clean HDMI without sensor overheating - will do too.

RF form factor? GX or the GF (including the GX850 in some region).

Light weight: GF9 or GF10, followed by GX85, then GX95 and the heaviest and largest is the GX8.

Clean HDMI Output: GX85, GX95, GX8.

Overheating: It seems no Panny camera will overheat easily. Mostly 4K video could be an issue for GF so it has limited recording time. Quite sure 1080 won;t over heat Panny models. Not heard any 4K overheating issue on other higher spec Pannys.

GF overheats in 4K. That's why they have the 5 minute 4K limit. Also according to another thread they don't output clean HDMI for recording (only for playback).

Someone got burned when they bought the GX800 (same as GF9/GX850) thinking it it can output clean HDMI for recording and found it only works on playback:

I know for sure GX85 doesn't overheat in 4K and it only has 1.1x 4K crop. GX9 and GX8 has that 1.25x crop in 4K.
