Good choice. I prefer bodies with a nice grip and buttons that have enough space to work. Despite what people think about the camera size matching sensor size. I always felt that camera size should match hand size to have a comfortable hold. Plus, bigger lenses really feel better with bigger bodies
There's actually an argument to be made that larger sensor bodies are too small, just look at the overheating issues in the top tier bunch. Bigger sensor, higher rez video which is a big selling point in ML, too much heat and too little space. I think MFT's bigger bodies are at just the perfect ratio of sensor to body size.
Heat dissipation is indeed A factor to consider when using high res video. Grip size is a factor when planning to use big glass. I shoot stills so the former is not a concern. So as always, it comes down to picking the right tool for the job - plus the right combo that makes the job fun. m43 is the fun system for me, mostly for its extreme versatility to do the things I love.
Versatility is a good word. I was recently planning a camera purchase, and quite frankly, im tired of that process (owned like 22 different bodies over 9 years, from 6 systems). It's fun to try new things and test it all but i kinda want to find a long term home and keep the wife of my back.
For a couple months i'd been looking at 3 options, M6II upgrade from an M50 i still have (used with EF glass), an XT30, and an EM1-II. Money costs aside, the Fuji had some strengths, biggest sensor, nice colors, good AF, good E shutter burst modes. The Canon had 2nd biggest sensor, really good AF with amazing eye tracking, best lens selection with my EF adapter. But neither have IBIS, the Canon has to use the hotshoe for an EVF, and Fuji glass is slim pickens in the budget class like i usually buy.
The EM1 had the best grip, most buttons and dials, only of the 3 with IBIS, and has the smallest lenses (and many budget options) which is good for my camera bag (the Oly 45 is TINY!). In the end the Olympus may not have had the DOF control of the other two, not quite the color of the Fuji, nor the AF of the Canon, but it has no real weak points. It can't perform UNBELIEVABLY in any one place but is DARNED GOOD in every area, to me that was the best option.
