All -

Yes I have EXIFTool and paid for the application, but I'd like to try a GUI application. I have a MacBook Pro and a Mini and would like to get an EXIF viewer from the App Store. Most of the applications have reviews that leave me with questions.

I use a Nikon D200 to take photos of satellites at night and need EXIFTool to get the exact time that the shutter closes.

Anyone use a GUI application for EXIF data??

Just go with pyExifToolGui - it is a python application built directly upon Phil Harveys ExifTool and runs on Macs. Not only that you are able to view all meta data, you are able to change entities, that usually no other GUI provides your by just mouse cklicking!

I got pyexiftoolgui and put it into Applications - it cannot find EXIFTool. Grrrr. I use a Python script to put photos into an astrometry site so I know that I have a good Python installation. I use EXIFTools (in the Terminal, with bash) and it works.

But I can't find EXIFTools!! Grrrrr. I am researching.
