Re: Justifying the R5

For me it depends in two factors, stage in life and affordability.

Now that I’m retired and can afford to travel often  ( pre coronavirus) and also suddenly having three grandchildren, my love of photography has resurfaced to the levels of my teen years when I had a Mamiya camera and a dark room.

Also does help that I have the means to buy what I want, in reality I don’t care driving a 16 year old care but I do care to have a new camera that will allow me to take better pictures of my grandkids and be able to take better pictures in my travels.

Now if I need it to choose between an excellent lens and the camera, I will choose the lens. Luckily I don’t need to choose, so I will get the R5 and the 100-500.

Lucky me
