Flash Setup for Flowers

Hey folks.

I’m after some advice about photographing flowers. I’ve got a D7100, a Tamron 70-300mm macro and a Sigma 17-70mm macro. But no flash.

To get decent flower pictures, do you use the onboard flash? Buy a hot shoe flash? Buy a soft box light box like a Fotodiox (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fotodiox-Foldable-Softbox-Speedlights-Panasonic/dp/B003Y30334/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=fotodiox+flash+box&qid=1596649633&s=electronics&sr=1-1)

Do you use a light stand for the flash? What are best value for budget / entry level? Is this any good? https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-Aluminum-2-13-Light-Stand/dp/B074VNRN5X/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=photography+light+stand&qid=1596893755&sr=8-5

Do I need a Nikon Speedlight flash to go with my my D7100? Or are the cheaper flashes any good? Like Neewer?

Any tips for beginning flower photography?

Thanks all

Andy
