My P950 and I at Clearwater Park
3

I took a brisk walk to this beautiful park on the Willamette River, about 2.5 miles from my home. The camera did well with scenes that had many different levels of light and then pleased me even more when I used it in very low light. The shot of the horse was taken 5 minutes before sunset, which was happening directly behind it. The shutter speed was 1/10th-sec. and my monopod let me catch a presentable one out of several that were not. When under such conditions, you always want to snap a lot of them.

The flowers were passed on the way to the park and I was glad to find them, as this time of year is not blessed with many flowers or birds. The VR did good with the videos, although the monopod was off the ground. I certainly determined that the monopod is essential for me to take long-zoom photos. Links to two videos are below. I used the EVF more than the large viewscreen, as that extra-high resolution really helps in focusing. The viewscreen is better for shooting overhead flocks of birds and aircraft, as well as athletic events.
