Just got an X100V, not an OVF guy, but it seems a tad yellowish to look through, is that normal?

Don’t own one myself, but have had a couple of occasions to use other versions of the X100 cameras, and always noticed that the EVF skews a bit brighter and whiter than the view through the OVF, which seemed a bit yellowish by comparison.

Will certainly defer to those who are more familiar, but this seems consistent with my (limited) experience.

I agree with that interpretation. The EVF gives a cooler, whiter, bluer view and in comparison the OVF looks warmer and leans toward yellow as opposed to blue. However, when I shift my gaze from the viewfinder up and over the camera to the "real" view it is the OVF which gives a truer color rendition than the EVF.
