Today I’ve been looking at pictures I’ve been taking and practice-cropped those to see what I can learn that way.

Sometimes it’s easy to see what to crop away (and by extension, how the picture should have been taken in the first place), other times it’s really hard. And sometimes, I see that there are several different approaches that would work and it’s more a matter of what I want to picture to be about.

So far, what I’ve perhaps have seen most is that I’ll could get much better to remove “clutter” from the frame. Things that doesn’t have anything to do with the subject and that is just noise and pollution really.

There's a fifth element that's not mentioned yet,

to develop a "gut feeling" for your compositions.
