Does a dusty/dirty mirror affect DSLR performance?

Hi all.

I'm aware that a dirty sensor can affect image quality. But does a dirty mirror affect the overall camera performance? My 5D4's AF sensor area seems clean but the actual flappy mirror area seems like its got some caked on dust which wont come off with just a rocket blower. Should I look to clean the mirror? Or not bother?

thanks
