Perseids composite shot with 6D?

I will be traveling in a remote area (whitewater rafting in the Salmon River, in Idaho) so I'm going to enjoy near perfect condition (if the weather's clear that is...)

I will have a Canon EOS 6D (2016 vintage...) and a brand new Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM, and a RRS mini tripod + mini ball head (and the camera is fitted with an L plate).

I am going to try to emulate David Kingham's work as described here:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/content/how-i-got-shot-david-kingham-snowy-range-perseids

My questions to all you smart people is (1) what should be the right ISO setting on a 6D Mark I and (2) is constant firing of 30s exposure the right thing to do for my gear?

Thank you!

Canon EOS 6D
