I doubt very much that the snatch and run brigade know of or care about the brand of a camera bag.

To the eye of the average person those bags don't look any more expensive than any other similar bag.

Tell yourself that again and again and you will start to believe it.

Have you thought that maybe that's what you're doing and believing it?

No, just experienced attempted a grab & run in Italy. Ironically, not in the US myself but it did happen to a friend once. Nikon F3 to the head seemed to do the trick. In my case, I had a waist pack so it couldn't be grabbed easily. But a really nice looking shoulder bag - easy pickings.

Maybe thieves in the states have greater product awareness and "English" looking goods, greater cache? But in the UK, the Hadley just looks like a bog standard fishing/shooting bag, of the type it evolved from. Other brands of camera bag would be far more visible on the street.

Trying to pretend likes some old fishing bag is laughable. They're gorgeous, you know it.

A tourist in Italy, you're asking for trouble.

Well, it was a great trip and it was many years ago.
