Thanks for that, one of my friends swears by the Meike version which he has got on both his M5 & M6 II, he says it is just as good as the official Canon one, but at a fraction of the price.

MY issue with Shonky stuff is that your particular one doesn`t have to be far out in depth or cockeyed much to cause decentering or other issues such as badly made contacts which could damage the connector in the camera etc - you`ve just ploughed a lot into a very nice camera and have good DSLR glass, why risk it for the sake of £30 or so saved on a meike over a used Canon ? -

You could of course get the Meike from Amazon and return it if its out or cockeyed and grab a used canon, I didn`t  bother for £30-£40 diff though even for my humble M100 and just got a used Canon
