Continuous Autofocus

Hi, I was at risk of hijacking another thread about this so I thought it best to post this separately.

I have owned the original 'classic' EOS-M and now have the M5. I have always left Continuous AF switched on (the default).

There are several contributors on here who HATE this feature and strongly suggest turning it off. I can see both sides - I am aware that it uses some battery power, but I always carry spares, and I'm bothered by the idea that turning Cont. AF off might cause me to miss shots occasionally.

So my question is mostly aimed at anyone who has tried both ways and has made a deliberate decision to leave this feature ON:   I'd be interested to know what swayed you.
