M50 and EF-S 55-250 with some luck at the zoo and countryside

First time sharing. Took these over the last couple weeks. I was quite pleased with the results accomplished by this cheap combination of equipment. In some of the zoo pictures I had to focus manually because the camera was fighting me and chose to focus on the metal wire fence instead.

Hedwig!

Poor polar bear locked up in a cage

He's a wild bird in a zoo. He was chirping and begging me to shoot him.

I guess you can probably tell by the bokeh how close I was to him.

Like the last birds, these guys(?) this couple(?) were wild too. They just happened to live around the zoo area I guess.

Kitty looks bored and lazy!

Guess the zoo is a boring place for this cat too.

There is a piece of viewing glass for you to see the tiger without the metal wires in the way. But you don't always get to see his face like this.

Can someone tell me what he is? Definitely not a squirrel.

He's found his lunch.

Probably the best shot from the zoo. And ironically I didn't take this in the butterfly exhibit. In fact. I didn't see a single butterfly inside the butterfly exhibit lol. He just happened to have landed very close to where I was standing. Again the background blur, or lack of background gives away how close I was to the butterfly.

I was sitting on the beach and he was just taking a stroll along the shore.  And yes he walked pretty close to me as if I didn't exist.

The same bird is now pondering the meaning of his existence. Or maybe just looking for his next snack.

I was shooting in servo and tracking. I thank my M50 for not being confused by the background, which happened a lot and it was frustrating. It was one thing putting the bird in the frame. Then you have to pray for the camera's focusing system to pick it up.

It was actually my first time going to a place for the purpose of birding, and second seriously attempt at shooting BIF.

The focus is slightly off on this one. But I guess it's better than nothing.

Overall I am pretty happy with the results I got with the M50 and EF-S 55-250. But I did find that the the servo tracking of the M50 missed quite a lot of BIF. Is that normal? May be it was my bad skill but I am not sure. I am pretty amateur when it comes to photography anyway. And there were times I wish I had more reach, but then the next significant upgrade will probably run me more than a grand so I am not sure if I want to throw that kind of money into a hobby.

These pictures have gone through some basic editing and cropping with DPP. I don't actually shoot and edit enough to justify a Lightroom subscription lol.
