Hello everyone!

My a7s ii is acting pretty weird. I have an MC - 11 adapter which works weird with my sigma art 24 and sigma art 50. both of them are to slow maintaining continuous autofocus while I shoot in any format except the 120P 100M which works perfectly fast! every time I change it back to a regular format like 4K or HD 24 it turns slow again. the difference is massive! slow ticks of the focus ring against fast continuous ticks. (The art lenses are pretty loud)

all of my firmware is indeed updated, and it can take 12-13 seconds or more until something gets in focus.

I've tried a couple of sony lenses and they worked just fine. Could it be a problem with my mc-11?

by the way, the 120P 100M crops my sensor. I heard it's normal, and happens for stability. but is it somehow related to the fast autofocus in this mode?

oh and another thing. a lot of feathers are invalid and grayed out, showing the message 'invalid lens' when I try to choose them. but I think they are available on other dials -shooting modes which are not 'movie mode'

Sorry for my weak grammar. I'm not a native speaker.

Thank you very much.

Are the lenses on the compatible list? Yes, for AFS, for AFC? from my understanding, no.

####Where's my FF NEX-7 ?????
Firmware request:
-A button map for toggling the EVF & LCD
-Still waiting for the minimum shutter speed with auto ISO for my NEX-7 and A7r. I know it will never happen.
-Customize the display screen layout, I'd love to have both Histogram and level at the same time.
-More peaking options, being able to set peaking sensitivity and a threshold level.
-An RGB overlay on the histogram -An option to return the focus assist zoom to one button press
-An option to return to how the NEX-7 handled playback, ie. center button to zoom, then you could use the control dial to zoom in and out, then center button to exit the zoom mode.

Check whether the aperture of the lens opens when the camera gets power on. If not and it stays closed while focusing then switch the camera off. Take the adapter off, remove the battery. Put the adapter on again and switch the camera on/off. Put the battery in and switch the camera on. Switch off/on the AF/Manual switch on the lens. Use the magnifier button on/off on the camera.

Well it is a confusing tale that I wrote as I can not recall what exactly was the remedy of a similar issue I had. However that battery removal is what does the trick combined with one or two of the things above. I think my camera got the issue when I tried to mount a Canon EF 50mm 1.8 II, the one reputed to be non compatible.

I have no Sigma Art lenses but AF works with two older Sigma Macro lenses 50 + 70mm + MC-11 on an A7RII. My Tokina AT-X Pro 17mm 3.5 works even better on the MC-11 than on the Canon 5D II. My Canon lenses; the Canon EF 24-105mm 4.0 L I works, so does the STM 40mm 2.8 and an older 24mm 2.8.

Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst
