I am like you, but fully appreciate different needs of other people. Just wondering if this is indeed true that people mostly do video now as all discussions are about video overheat.

Hi Light Pilgrim,

Good post.

In 18 months with my R I've shot 10's of 1,000's of still images but less than 5 minutes of Movie footage. Movie mode is there if I ever need it, but I have little to zero interest in it.

When I watch camera reviews I just speed skip through the movie section (sorry Jordan!).

When I get an R5 it will be primarily for stills.

I appreciate others will have differing needs.

People get too hung up on what youtubers think / want but in fact they are really a minority. I hate the word "influencer" as anyone buying a camera and relying on what a youtuber things is in for big problems.

The fact is proper videographers / cinematographers are using gear that gets the job done in a professional environment like Canon C series or Arri / Red, these small format cameras will never replace that sort of equipment and they arnt meant to.

Youtubers are mostly (and i stress mostly, there are some really good professional artists on youtube) amateur vloggers trying to get clicks, their content is entertaining but not worth relying on for gear advise.
