So I found out today that I will not receive one of the first shipments for the EOS R5. That got me wondering about the number of people who might have purchased the same kit I purchased and whether or not that matters to the seller when compiling a list of orders. More specifically, are we all in the same queue regardless of what we ordered (body only vs body + kit lens) or is there a separate queue for each? When I purchased my X-T4, I thought I read somewhere that the body only orders were filled first with the body + kit lens orders shipped later. Is that the same here for Canon?

In any case, the poll simply asks what you ordered but I'd love to get some insights into the questions above. TIA.

When I found out there was not a cost savings in buying the kit, I bought the 24-105 f4 on 7/8 and the R5 body on 7/9. I wasn't sure I would like the 24-105 over the 24-70 f2.8, so I didn't want to get into an issue having to return the entire kit just to swap out the lens. I have always used the 2.8's, but wanted something with a bit more reach and a little lighter. The RF 24-105 f4 + RF 100-500 f4.5-7.1 + 1.4x TC covers 24mm - 700mm with 2 lenses and a TC. I wish the 100-500 was f6.3, but you can't have everything and noise performance of the R5/R6 looks good.

I've shot on 7 continents with the 24-105 + 100-400 II and 1.4 TC and the 7DMII and it's been a great combination for a light camera bag that covers almost everything. Now I'm switching to the R5 with the same combination and will throw in the 35 1.8 for low light options. That makes such a great travel kit. B&H says my R5 is "Processing" so I guess since they are closed tomorrow, it won't ship until Friday, which hopefully means I'll have it on Sat. We leave to photograph bears in Alaska in 2 weeks so would like to get some practice with it before I leave.

I am hoping that the shift to this gear will let me avoid paying for "Mr Camera Bag's" seat on future trips to Africa.  I had two trips scheduled that were kicked out to 2021 & 2022 so I should have some time to work out the kinks.  We are headed to the GTNP/YNP area at end off September and I am looking forward to the lighter bag.  Where are you headed in Alaska?  Katmai?
