As far as I'm aware, you cannot turn on one or the other. It's either both or none.

So they do work together then - any idea how many stops of IS I could expect? For some reason I haven't been able to find any info on this around the web.

You can find some info here: https://www.fujirumors.com/list-of-18-fujinon-lenses-with-6-5-stops-ibis-on-fujifilm-x-t4-sony-a7riii-vs-fuji-x-t4-vs-gimbal-ibis-quick-test-x-h1-vs-x-t4-ibis-unit-size/ (more in the comments section) I think this is difficult to find because Fuji shows it during announcements but as far as I can tell do not publish it themselves. Might be more info in their news/blog instead of a direct reference so you may be able to find more if willing to look.

Interesting, looks like it provides 6.5 stops when combined with a lens. In the samples I've checked out it looks pretty competent - better than some of the competition.
