However, lack of IBIS, DUAL IS, no 4K, no zebra, and the less sharp SOOC output (because it still has an AA filter on the sensor) etc all pushed me to upgrade despite it is still doing fine...

Hello Albert,

Were you dissatisfied with the output when you purchased the camera?

No, I am still very happy with GX7. Its IQ is already very acceptable to me.

However GX85 is a step ahead on IQ, a stop cleaner higher ISO (ISO1600 vs ISO3200 and possibly touching ISO6400 on GX85), more clean long exposure (GX85 can do it upto 60 sec where GX7 would fall apart after 2~4 sec), not to mention others that I mentioned in my original response.

Although G85 is now my main camera, GX7 replaces GX1 to become my backup camera.

I am interested to see a comparison of SOOC output between the two cameras. The test should be made with the cameras on a tripod.

I hope my recent posting might demonstrate some difference between GX7 vs GX85 (limited to the effect on sharpness on the AA filter of GX7's sensor vs nothing on GX85).

Both were shot under e-shutter so basically shutter shock should not be an issue to those samples.

Thanks,
