Converted Tokina RMC 17mm 3.5

Better in the corners than my Tokina AT-X Pro aspheric version despite the initial way worse condition the RMC had. Far more compact lens as well.

Another cow and tree image

Good colors too

The PK mount lens was cheap at 47 Euro including postage. Battered too, a bit more scratches at the front lens than advertised, rear and front part could be pulled and pushed about 0.5mm wider/closer at any setting, filthy on all threads etc but nothing in the lens assemblies. Cleaned it, fixed and secured the screws that made the focusing loose, added a stickier silicon lubrication than I normally use. As a PK to EF adapter usually turns the lens scales 1/3 further than upwards to avoid a mirror hitting some rear lens parts I decided to remove the PK mount and made a 3D print + alu Chinese M42<>EF custom one. This way the conversion is reversible to PK. This Tokina has the non PK focusing ring direction so that is nice too.

Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst
No photographer's gear list is complete without the printer mentioned !
