Let me begin by saying I know better than doing this, but I’m flying to the Middle East in a couple of weeks, and Turkish Airlines has amended their policy during COVID-19 and is not allowing ANY carryons, except for a small personal item. Instead, they check your carryon for “free” which means risking my equipment. In addition, I’m going to Iran, so I don’t have FedEx or DHL as an option.

Lol easy answer. YOU DON"T! Can you not rent something over there? Or take a point and shot with you as a carry on.

Unfortunately in Iran right now there are no rental options. And half the reason I’m going over there is for photography, so although I have a smaller point and shoot I would really handicap what I intend on doing by not having my DSLR and lenses with me.
