Are there any cheap wide angle lenses that can be adapted?

Good-old Sigma DG 12-24 is pretty decent for architecture (i use it much for tight places and for ceilings).

It has yellow-brownish cast (and bluish corners), some small bright blue flares but almost neglible distortion and good sharpness stopped-down.

I have the first version without motor (via LA-EA3), later Sigma made same with HSM motor for A-mount (and from start with motor for Nikon and Canon).

12-24 DG II is sharper, has better flare resistance but more distortion.

So you can get any of it with proper adapter.
