Tamron VC

I feel like Tamron VC not so stable. My 18-400 is good at 18 and 400, but in the middle like 135mm, VC always cause problem. The pictures can be blurry. 1 of 5 can be good. Others blurry. Turn off VC it's good every shot. So now Off is the default position of the switch.

It seems not just this lens. I used 16-300 before, got the same issue. I hope it's not the issue of my copy. I like this lens, it's good at all zoom ranges. I am just comparing with my 18-135 STM. The STM will go. They're almost the same in sharpness. Even it has VC issue, I have no intention to change.

It looks like a common issue for Tamron lens. Is there any advice so I can turn it on by default? Feel like I waste a lens feature if default to OFF.
