That is really kind of you! Testing lens sometimes is a tedious task, but if you are up to it, I would love to have an input in this particular matter from an actual user. The reviews I got the info about soft edges are these ones:

But perhaps they got bat copies of that lens.

I'll see what I can do. My copy was cheap as it had some marks on the front element, the locking mechanism is broken (it zooms out on its own when not in use) and didn't come with a lens hood! Maybe despite all these issues it's actually a good copy?! To me it seems good but I haven't really scrutinised the images that closely.
