True but you get OVF, leaf shutter, WR, smaller depth, built in f2 lens compatible with WCL/TCL, rangefinder styling.

I personally don't need these things, but others do.

But yes in terms of IQ performance, there hasn't been significant increase since the XT2 sensor tech came out on ANY of their aps-c cameras.

As for up close performance...I do often shoot up close stuff wide open on both 27 2.8 and 35 1.4... so yeah, that'd probably annoy me.
