If you have X100T and you care about stills and not video, you will not get much by moving to X100V

Sounds like buyer's remorse

Sounds like buyer's remorse, plus a dose of poor research upfront.

I've upgraded from the F to the V:

  • Disabled the touch screen feature because I don't use it.
  • Love the tilt out LCD, it allows me to be more creative with angles of view
  • Love the new lens - this makes the V a whole new camera, as it's the first time Fujifilm have changed the lens design since I bought the original X100 8 years ago.
  • Love the streamlined UI with the removal of the D-Pad. The new UI is way cleaner and easier to use - less fuss, less buttons.
  • Don't give a cr@p about WR - if you want to risk your gear in the wet then that's on you as a user - me, heck no. And I don't want a useless 'protection' filter ruining the contrast on all my shots.
  • Don't give a cr@p about video either - I'd rather they didn't bother TBH.
  • I think Fujifilm are cheap in excluding the charger - but I have 5 already so no big deal for me.

My conclusion - I did my research, and I'm very happy with the upgrades. This is the best X100 to date, and moves the model forward significantly.

Certainly worth the upgrade - and it puts a smile on my face when ever I shoot - which is what it's all about.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it arguing about camera features - go out and capture memories - Oh, and size does matter - shoot MF
