M6 MKII Thinking of buying... Some Questions
2

Hi All,

I currently have an M5 that I've had for 3 years, and an M100 that I have had for 18 months.

I'm thinking of getting an M6 MkII and selling the M5, reason being I would like to get back into some closeup\macro stacking using a tethered connection to Helicon Remote on a phone, and I wouldn't mind taking advantage of better AF and low light.

Recently a friend of mine bought a used M50 and he wanted me to test it to make sure all was OK. I decided to hook it up to Helicon remote on my phone with EF-M 28mm macro attached and it worked flawlessly (even though it isn't listed in Helicon supported cameras). This was good news, because that was the thing I missed being able to do the most with the M5.

So... Questions:

1) I see that the M5 and M50 are both listed as having contrast detect and phase detect AF while the M62 only has phase detect. Is there any shooting situation that would be hindered by the M62 AF system not also having CDAF , or does the PDAF system on the M62 more than compensate?

2) Are there any of these lenses troublesome on the M62 (I assume all the EF-M lenses are ok):

EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM
EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
EF 50mm F1.8 I
EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM
EF-S 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM
EF-S 10-18mm F4.5–5.6 IS STM
EF-M 15-45mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM
EF-M 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM
EF-M 28mm F3.5 Macro IS STM
EF-M 22mm f/2 STM

3) The LCD screen resolution seems quite a bit below the M5 is it really noticeable?

Thanks
