Another landscape photographer here, and I agree the R5 is not so exciting for us. As you said, shooting off a tripod we don't need IBIS, or FPS or video, or fancy AF. All we really need is high resolution, good DR at base ISO and weather sealing/reliability in the lightest weight possible (at an affordable price).

The only thing about the R5 that sounds interesting to me, has been mention of improved DR. I'd like to know more about that. Improved from R and 5DIV? If it's a big improvement at base ISO, that might be worth it over a 5DSR at less than half the price. Then if Canon bring out some light F4 lenses (RF 24-70 F4, RF 16-35 F4, etc) there could be a potential weight saving as well.

Battery life, for me, isn't an issue. I can make one DSLR battery last all week. (I'm very selective).

If Fuji made the GFX 100 in a smaller, lighter body, without the IBIS, at half the price we'd all probably jump on it. However, I'm not aware of any such rumours.
