A nice mix!
2

I bought this wide adapter ages ago (can be found sold under various names, and exists in various sizes):

Today I tried it on my D600 together with an AF-S DX 40/2.8 and I like the results a lot.
Here a shot of an elderly woman navigating over the room:

No PP, except some easing of the vignetting, and crop.

Delightful combination, that wide adapter and that lens, on whatever camera you own.

Here are a few more:

The toy truck looks great even with a 58/1.4, by the way (you'll need the wide adapter, of course).

If you add a Canon 500D to the mix of adapter and 40 you can go as close as you want ...

the front wheel ..

a little closer!

Here the adapter bumped into the truck so couldn't come closer!

The truck is about 2" long.

Not sure why wide adapters shorten minimum focusing distance but they do!

Did some watch shots too!

Had a lot of fun!
