Not exactly. What you said would only be true IF both sensors were of the same type. The a9, a9II, a7R III, a7R IV, a7 III all have BSI-CMOS BIONZ X sensors, but the a6600 only has a CMOS BIONZ X sensor. If all sensor had the exact same sensors technology, then what you said would be correct.

I still can't figure out why Sony is still using the same 4.5 year old sensor the a6300 has, especially since they have had better sensors for so long? This is only one of the many reasons I have not been interested in any of the cameras released since buying my a6300.
