Not as much thinking about the body itself (which is prosumer in terms of weather sealing, build, fewer features, etc.) but the sensor and AF system.

If they put the same internals in something like the R5 body, I think we would be calling in a 'mirrorless 1DX III Light' - however, having these internals in the body it does is interesting.  Not sure it would survive aggressive use like a 5D, R5, etc., but it is sure begging to be used hard for sports/wildlife (or anything similar).

From a mass-market consumer view, not sure people will appreciate 'only' 20MP, where it is acceptable as a dedicated sport/wildlife camera (especially with the ISO benefit).

Or, maybe it doesn't really make sense (not in a bad way, not an insult), maybe Canon just decided to make a Frankenstein camera that doesn't really make sense for most, but will work for some.

Personally, I am fascinated by it (in the same way I was with the original 6D, which I used hard and loved every second of it).  Not at $2500, but once it drops below $2000, and getting the 800mm f/11 at the same time.

To use a car analogy, it feels a bit like a Ford Focus RS or Civic Type R - some crazy internal hardware in a basic wrapper that might not make sense on paper, but when used all of a sudden makes total sense.
