Basically M6-II + EVF + EFCS + IBIS in an M5 body, DPAF-II if poss , if they want to update the shape to R5/6 then fine but keep it M5 sized ..
Add a M50-II , Basically a 32mp M50 with EFCS and DPAF-II, no IBIS to save cost
At the very least give us an M6-II in an M5 body with EFCS .... that won`t cost much R&D as all the bits are there , all they have to do is slap it together and stick it on the shelves at £899 body only - they`ll rake it in
That would be a step in the right direction but i think canon can do better than that.
The body should be weather sealed (the sony a6600 is), it should provide us the ability to power the camera while we use it with any powerbank (fuji, panasonic and sony allow that) i wouldn't say no to a joystick. The touch screen is great and all when the camera is static, but when you are shooting with your eye up to the EVF to compose the shot and you want a hassle free way to move focus points a joystick comes in handy. Or when its raining or we are wearing gloves. IBIS would be great, but to me not really the most important thing.
Other things include option to toggle between mechanical shutter an EFCS, this is handy to increase compatibility with multiple flashes. Ability to slow down or ramp up AF speed during video. Increased customization of ISO, Shutter and EC. Sony and Fuji cameras allow us to set the minimum shutter speed when in Av, in combination with max ISO. In fact sony allows us to create brackets to customize how we shoot.
Again, features that most people wont need, but features that elevate a camera to a pro or semi-pro status. It's not until you need to do a job for a client that you find yourself missing features. Shooting family, kids, pets, food... any camera can do that.
Canon is doing great, but it's too focused on being user friendly and leaving so many options out of their cameras.
