I really like the classic chrome on the jpeg files, but they seem a bit dark in shadows, any imput to what settings you have?

All of the slide-film simulations are hard on shadows, as the original slide films were. Classic Chrome is particularly hard on shadows, and Velvia is extremely hard on them. The strong contrast and "inky black shadows" were a desirable feature back in the day, so maybe you might try just going with it.

If not, you've got the Shadow Tone control. Set it negative to reduce the harshness of the shadows.

I doing RAW+Jpeg as im not surr about the settings or modes for jpeg, still testing...

I think the X100V works with Fujifilm's X Raw Studio software. X Raw Studio lets you use your camera -- tethered to your computer -- to process Raw files as you make adjustments so the results are exactly what your camera would produce. You could pick a few Raw photos and play around with the adjustments to see what you like.
