Define good picture

To me, a truly good picture is the one that shows the skill of taking it, regardless of the subject. Yes, a picture of a pretty person or an exotic location may look attractive, but it is not enough to be called a good picture in my view. And I do believe that a skillful photographer can make (not simply take) a breathtaking picture of your toilet, or any subject in any place. Skill is king when it comes to anything we do, and photography is no exception. Everyone can press keys on a piano and call it music, it doesn’t mean it should be called good music. There are standards in every craftsmanship that should be applied to call something good. In photography, simple subject matter is not enough, it should also show skill of the master, at least in my view.
