85mm conundrum

I'm wondering what I should do about an 85mm... go ahead and get an EF 85mm f1.8 now or wait for the RF 85mm f2 IS to come out.  Here are my thoughts...

EF 85mm f1.8

  • Get the benefit of f1.8
  • Likely faster focusing if the STM on the new one is like my RF 35mm
  • no real size difference with the adapter
  • half the price or less (leaves money to potentially get the R6)
  • I don't care much about macro
  • internal focusing

RF 85mm f2 IS

  • Better video AF performance
  • No adapter
  • IS built in
  • Newer lens and potentially sharper
  • Less purple fringing (hopefully!)

What would you do?  Obviously this new lens isn't out yet, but I've had the old EF 85mm f1.8 before and it was a great little lens and the price is fantastic, so I'm tempted to just go ahead and go with it...
