It looks like you have the perfect combo to take these great shots, and did a very good job of it! This is the best series of Otter shots I've ever seen on this forum.

After they darted off away from the drainage pipe, I noticed them in deeper water doing some fishing - from an elevated boardwalk I waited for one to pop up in the dense reeds and got this one staring up at me while chewing on a fish

I learned that they have myriad calls and sounds - from chattering, purring, barking, yelping, and even howling like coyotes! They didn't seem to mind my presence at all - the wetlands was virtually empty, not just due to coronavirus, but also due to being just after noon on a 96 degree day with 80% humidity and lingering thunderstorms. Only a crazy person would stand in a swamp in that weather!

You may be a "crazy person", but you take some great pictures! Thanks for sharing them.
