M5 plus Tamron 70-300 DI VC USD Lens
4

I am slowly working my way through my set of Canon EF/EF-S lens to see how they fare on my M5. I am using a Commlite EF-EF-M adapter.

The Tamron 70-300 seems adequately sharp but the autofocus is slower than I like. Other than that, all functions work and the lens performs well. Sample photos are below. All are shot in raw and processed with DXO Photolab 3. All are cropped.

Look at the original size for best results.

This is NOT a macro lens, the minimum focus distance is about 5 feet.

300mm is really too short for birding

This and the next Cardinal were pretty close

I was shooting in shutter speed priority and didn't notice that  the aperture went to f22! and this suffers from diffraction. My bad.
