You are the very first person who said XQD cards fail. BTW, Nikon announced support for CFe about 7 months ago. Make your own conclusion.

XQD cards fail. I've had two fail.

Brand?

Lexar 64GB 440. Both failed by writing corrupt NEF files (about 1 in 10) in D500's. Both failed right out of the box. Both were replaced free by Roberts in Indy.
