I see now why Olympus is stepping back...

Watched several of the Canon R5 R6 videos on YouTube today.

Looking at the USPs  Olympus has (had) now potentially overtaken by Canon and an Olympus lens roadmap that is looking weak for  budget nature lovers, it makes sense now.

Canon has a head of steam and failing a meltdown of Nikon proportions (quality and build issues) they look to be well placed to mop up with Sony in the mirrorless mid to premium market.

Sad that Olympus and Panasonic had a major head start and let it go in consumer mirrorless. Maybe the entry and lower mid level will still work for Panasonic and Olympus if Canon leaves that to the old DSLR systems to compete?
