I have found if your electronic won't fail during the first a few weeks of usage, it usually last a while.

I had Nikon D3000 that lasted for almost 5 years and it never failed.  I gave that along with some lenses to my brother to help funding his Sony FF purchase.  My Nikon D5300 also worked flawlessly for almost 2 years till I traded it for EM5 II.

It has been almost 2 years now and my EM5 II works just like day one.  A bit over 2 months ago, I bought a new EM1 III.  So I think I have several more years till I need to look for a new shiny camera body.
