No solution mate

Ive got brand new sigma 50mm art and these one seems to be ok. Sometimes miss focus only.

But here is news, I had chance to try 85 1.2 L lens And 6 out of 11 pics FF on f1.6

5out of 11 FF on f1.2

Canon said it’s because older lenses will have to be calibrated to ur camera which I think that’s total bulls... since it’s a mirrorless.
im giving myself 1 more week if problem still exists I’m sending Camera body to service. Still on warranty.

I have tested the 85/1.8 with a calibration chart and everything is fine with my combo, indicating this is not a general issue like all RF 70-200shad. My post with screenshot is somewhere in this topic.

I have Sigma's 50mm Art and the 85L which I use on a daily/weekly basis. So far the AF has been great and reliable on the RP. Even on my 5DIV in liveview, which is basically an older version of the R's AF system, those lenses work great with no focus issues at all.

It would help if you'd post some example pictures with the focus point displayed, so we can help you out better. Because right now it seems you 2 are the only ones having problems here, and most people read it and might think: "30 other users have written to be very satisfied with the 85mm on an R and only these 2 have problems. Must be user error."

And I agree with you, sending it back for a check would be good.
