You're gonna need an at least 2.4 amps usb port (5 volts). At least I do on my gx85. Either on a powerbank or a 110/220 volt to usb power plug.

Yes, and there some pitfalls with USB powering (such as finding a USB powerbank that can actually deliver at least 2.1 amps so that the converter can convert the power to 9 volts before going to the dummy battery).  I've posted these pitfalls before in the past, but at some point I was going to re-post them.  But if you have the right powerbank or A/C USB adapter, it will work.
