Well now that we're much more caught up, and I'm sharing shots taken within the past few weeks, and with my local wetlands still shut down...I can at least share some of the wildlife out in the one western wetlands spot that is open in my local area. I left off with my last post showing some action in my backyard, then wrapped the post with some of the beautiful wood ducks out at Peaceful Waters.

Another very nice set of pictures, as usual. It seems like between your backyard and Peaceful Waters, you are keeping busy and finding interesting wildlife. If you find out either Green Cay or Wako reopens, please let me know.

Below are my favorites. Thanks for sharing them!

Let's start with a group of mottled ducks hanging out in a patch of open water, still glistening with droplets from having recently been bathing themselves

One last look at the purple martin - this time, sitting still for a change, and watching me with their grumpy little grin!

It's otter time! Here's the otter who was playing hide-and-seek with me - staring at me for a few seconds before chattering and running through the drain pipe and popping out on the other side to look around for me again

Comments, questions, and critique welcomed as always!
